Trainees who graduate from our 200 Hour Teacher Training Course are eligible to apply for an internship position with our school. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and assist our senior teachers and management team on our trainings therefore developing invaluable teaching, adjusting and classroom management skills in a professional and supportive environment.

The aim of this program is for Interns to make the transition from graduate trainee to teacher by assisting senior teachers in a 200 hour training setting. Interns revise and deepen their knowledge by establishing and meeting learning outcomes based upon their personal needs. Assisting at our trainings is a wonderful opportunity to refresh and update knowledge and skills already gained as a graduate of our TTC.
Interns will provide classroom management support by attending lectures based on their learning needs and gain essential experience applying principles of alignment and adjusting and during asana classes and workshops.
Interns can deepen their own practice with a weekly
advanced asana workshop designed specifically for interns with Director
of the school, Lalit Kumar.
Depending on the location of The Teacher Training,
Himalayan Yoga Valley will provide a yoga shala
to enable interns to practice small business skills in real time
by delivering yoga classes to the general public, planning and developing
workshops and marketting & promotion with support and guidance
of the senior management and teachers.
Our commitment to supporting the process of
taking the leap from student to teacher is reflected in our internship
program.
Himalaya Yoga Valley waives internship fees for our graduates providing time and management at no cost to graduates as part of our commitment to professional development. We also provide accommodation for graduates whilst attending as interns.
