Thank you for illuminating the
light of Yoga onto our 20 willing Yogis. We love you! The
course was well thought out, graciously executed and lovingly
provided. My practice is far more stable, connected and invigorating.
Thank you for sharing the Himalayan tradition with me. It’s
a pleasure and an honor.

Substantial emphasis is placed on analytic training on how
to teach and practice the techniques as well as guided practice
of the techniques. In conjunction, you will learn the Patanjali’s
Eight Limbs yoga philosophy and how you can incorporate this
into your own practice and day to day life.
The Curriculum takes you through the essential elements you
will require to deepen and enrich your own yoga practice and
to teach students with confidence.
As director of Himalaya Yoga Valley and
senior course instructor, Lalit
is of the Himalayan Tradition; the tradition of the Swamis
and the great Swami Rama, Founder of the Himalayan Institute
of Yoga & Philosophy Sciences; followed by Swami Veda
Bhami, known as the great yogi. Lalit, as a traditional yogi,
was initiated by Swami Veda.
The Himalaya Yoga Valley teachers come from a rich variety
of backgrounds and lineages; during the 200 hour course the
teachers will use the primary Ashtanga series and sequences
as a consistent and solid foundation from which students can
develop their individual teaching style.
The fundamental sequencing and mode of asana practice during
the course is Ashtanga with a holistic emphasis on learning
by also incorporating traditions and styles of yoga such as
Iyengar, Hatha, Raja and Vinyasa Flow.
