DR. ROHIT R. BORAKAR, (B.A.M.S)
(Certified Himalayan Yoga Valley Teacher in ind)
Ayurveda
the science of life is a boon to the science of healing as well
as the seekers of health, rejuvenation, longevity & well being.
This science is vast ocean of knowledge but to understand it in
a simple yet scientific manner the guidance of proper learnt ayurvedic
teacher is very important.
Dr. Rohit R. Borkar born in Goa, has Completed
his bachelors degree in ayurveda from Goa University. He has been
awarded the degree (B.A.M.S) Bachelors of Ayurveda
medicine and surgery from Gomantak Ayurveda College which is a complete
5 & ½ years course. He is working in Goa as an ayurvedic
physician, panchakarma and yoga specialist. Dr. Rohit has been in
the field of ayurveda since a decade from now.
He has also completed yoga course from The Yoga Institute, Academy
of yoga a special department for training school teachers. Santa
Cruz (E), Mumbai.
It is said – studying a single scripture one does not get
the conclusive essence of the science. Hence the person should try
to understand the scripture after having knowledge of several disciplines.
Hence this made Dr. Rohit to learn yogic science with lot of interest
and so he tries to implement yoga with Ayurveda
During time he has traveled extensively around India studying,
lecturing and conducting workshops on ayurveda, yoga and allied
subjects.
Each lecture that he gives flows from his heart in the form of
flowing river that is inspired by & interests the students who
are present during the time of the lecture.
TIFFANY (Certified
Himalayan Yoga Valley Teacher in can)
Dedicated
to living with an open heart, I seek to bring the joy and essence
of yoga to life both on and off the mat. Yoga found me when I was
completing my degree in music therapy and suffering from the stresses
of student life and mysterious aches and illnesses. Quite quickly,
I realized that yoga provides the key to unlocking so many of the
questions and mysteries that exist within life, within myself.
I decided to start teaching when a manager of a gym that I
frequented to use the squash courts for my practice came by and
said, "have you ever thought of teaching?". A light went
off inside and together we found a training nearby. I have studied
primarily Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Anusara yoga and have both trained
under and now facilitate for Trinity Yoga's 200 hour Yoga Alliance
recognized teacher training in western Canada. Most recently, I
completed a 500 hour teacher training in Rishikesh, India with yogi
Vishveketu, in a style he calls 'Akunda' or 'wholistic' hatha yoga.
I also carry much of what I've learned in yoga into the group and
individual music therapy sessions I conduct. As an accredited music
therapist, I work with all kinds of people: children, elderly, people
in mental health, individuals who are seeking healing etc...I am
passionate about the healing properties of sound and how making
music, chanting, singing, dancing can help us move to other levels
of being.
To me, yoga means to unite, to be complete, to be whole. My
classes are wholistic, incorporating challenging and dynamic flowing
posture sequences as well as ample time for softness, relaxation,
breath and meditation. I believe that at our core, we all know what
is best for us. All we need is a little space, to take a breath
and connect in order to tap into this infinite wisdom and awareness.
As such, I encourage students to compassionately stretch their own
boundaries and guide them to recognize for themselves where those
boundaries lie. I am also a big fan of smiling, laughter and community
and invite everyone to find the beauty and joy in each event, each
minute, each posture, each breath. A good friend of mine often tells
me "Its just life....smile and live!" I agree because
its truly beautiful.
